A double at Pontefract!

We were delighted to see Master of Shanghai score on debut at Pontefract on Thursday 18th, under Ray Dawson for owner Ms Janelle Cao. He was bought at the breeze ups, recommended by Roger Marley and has always been a straightforward, likeable sort. It was great to see him knuckle down in the final furlong and he showed a very nice attitude.

This was a very encouraging debut, and it looks like he will get further in time.

Later in the afternoon, Good Heavens came with a strong run to win the final race on the card under Oisin Orr for owner JP McManus. He certainly didn’t look the winner 2 furlongs out, but came with a late run up the rail to win by a length. Many congratulations to all connections.
