Bodacious Name Doubles Up
Bodacious Name confirmed his wellbeing and love for Pontefract when winning his second marathon race at the track in quick succession. He is starting to fulfil the potential which we have long believed he had.
Ridden similarly to last time, Bodacious Name was dropped in from an early stage. The pace set was fair without being frenetic and with four furlongs to go the runners concertinaed and Bodacious Name was caught on heels for a few strides. However, Jason Hart didn’t panic and waited for a gap to come. With a furlong and a half to go a small gap between two horses appeared and Bodacious Name showed bravery to squeeze through it. He put his head down to win by a neck.
I would have thought that Bodacious Name’s next run will be back over hurdles. Hopefully he can continue to progress for his owners Excelsior Racing.
