First Impression has shown us promise from day one and on his third racecourse start at Ayr on Monday he registered his first win when landing a one mile novice race for two year olds.

Conditions were quite testing for these two year olds but First Impression found them no problem. That didn’t surprise us as we’ve always felt he might go well with juice in the ground. Stamina looked to be his forte as he galloped away from his rivals and was really motoring as he passed through the winning line.

I am hoping that First Impression can make in to a nice three year old handicapper over middle distances next year and that at some stage we might consider the juvenile hurdle route with him. He could make in to a decent jumper
