Ashington Impressive Over Hurdles

 In Latest News

Ashington’s second start over hurdles at Stratford saw him take a big step forward from his debut and mark himself down as a potentially useful novice. His first run at Sedgefield was by no means a bad one when he finished second but he did display signs of inexperience and we came away thinking that there was room for improvement with regards to his jumping.

This time around his jumping was absolutely flawless and Ashington posted a polished performance under Danny Cook to win by thirteen lengths in the end.

I hope that in time Ashington will make in to a useful handicap hurdler for his owner Trevor Alderson. We will continue to educate him in novice company for now though before bigger assignments await down the line.
