Lord Riddiford Charges Round Beloved Chelmsford
Lord Riddiford showed the benefit of a recent run at Southwell to win on his second start of the year at Chelmsford on Thursday. In doing so he took his record to 3-6 at the track.
In truth this race was a touch easier than Lord Riddiford contested during the 2019 campaign and he made his class tell with a bold front running performance under Jason Hart to win by three lengths.
Lord Riddiford has been an admirable campaigner over the past three years. He has won good races in that time and I only hope he can add to his tally in 2020. Being a five year old we have reason to believe that he might well be about to hit his prime and hopefully win one of the prestigious five furlong sprint handicaps in Britain or Ireland this year.
