First Impression Makes Striking Impression at Redcar

 In Latest News

Our three year old gelding got his 2020 season of the perfect start when winning on his reappearance at Redcar on Thursday evening. He signed off in 2019 by breaking his maiden tag in gutsy fashion at Ayr and here he picked up where he left off by marking himself down as a three year old firmly on the up.
This 0-80 race looked very competitive on paper with a host of three year olds having an unexposed look to them. First Impression travelled smoothly throughout though and always looked like he was going to play a part in it.
Jason Hart asked First Impression for his effort inside the last two furlongs. The horse’s response was instant and he quickened up well to hit the front inside the furlong pole. At the line he won by a length and a half. First Impression is improving nicely and I hope that he could win a good handicap later on this season.
