Libby Ami Wins on Handicap Debut
Libby Ami won the first race of her career at Newcastle on Tuesday evening when winning the seven-furlong nursery on the card under Jimmy Sullivan. He was patient aboard the filly and switched her off at the back of the field in the first half of the race. This got Libby Ami in to a rhythm and she bowled along comfortably. When asked for her effort after passing the two furlong pole Libby Ami knuckled down well and hit top gear inside the last furlong. She strode clear of her rivals to win by two lengths at the line.
I hope that Libby Ami may well progress further – all she has done all year is grow – and make in to a nice three year old for 2021.
